Volentic LLC ("Volentic," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit volentic.com or contact us, how we use that information, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Texas and U.S. law.
This Policy is written to be consistent with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), which took effect on July 1, 2024. If any provision of this Policy conflicts with applicable law, the law controls.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Quote request and contact form submissions: your name, business name, email address, and optionally your phone number, current website address, industry, annual revenue range, what you want the site to do, and any message you choose to write. Only your name, business name, and email address are required.
- Email correspondence: any information you choose to share when emailing info@volentic.com.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. These are kept for security and operational diagnostics for up to 90 days.
- Cookies: this site uses only essential cookies required for routing and form submission. We do not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies at this time.
- Aggregate site analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages and referrers people arrive from. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not collect or store any information that identifies you personally. All measurement is aggregated, and we cannot use it to single out an individual visitor.
What we do not collect
We do not collect "sensitive data" as defined by the TDPSA (racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, mental or physical health diagnoses, sexual orientation, citizenship, genetic or biometric data, precise geolocation, or data of a known child) through this website. If a future service we offer requires sensitive data, we will obtain your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent first, as required by TDPSA §541.101(b)(4).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries you send us through the contact form or by email.
- To prepare a quote, proposal, or preview of a redesigned website in response to your request.
- To provide, support, and improve our services.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website (e.g., debugging, blocking abuse).
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not engage in "targeted advertising" as defined by the TDPSA. We do not use your information for "profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects."
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their service. Current processors include:
- Resend: delivers contact-form submissions to our internal inbox.
- Cloudflare: website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), DNS, edge security, email routing for
info@volentic.com, and cookieless aggregate traffic measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics). - GitHub: source control.
Each of these providers is contractually bound to use your information only for the purposes we direct. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
4. Your Rights Under the TDPSA
If you are a Texas resident, you have the following rights under the TDPSA. You can exercise any of them by emailing info@volentic.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."
- Right to confirm and access: ask whether we are processing your personal data and request a copy.
- Right to correct: ask us to correct inaccuracies in the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to delete: ask us to delete personal data we have about you.
- Right to portability: obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily-usable format where technically feasible.
- Right to opt out: opt out of the sale of your personal data, targeted advertising, or significant profiling. (We do not currently engage in any of these activities.)
- Right to appeal: if we decline a request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our denial email. We will respond within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection.
We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days as required by TDPSA §541.054. We may extend that period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, in which case we will tell you the reason within the original 45-day window.
5. Data Retention
We keep contact-form submissions and email correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, perform a related contract, and comply with our legal obligations, typically no longer than seven (7) years after our last interaction. Server logs are deleted within 90 days unless retained for an active security investigation.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal data, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege provisioning. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
7. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Out-of-State Visitors
If you are not a Texas resident, you may have additional rights under your state's law (e.g., the California Consumer Privacy Act, Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA). We honor the rights granted by those laws to the extent they apply. Contact us at info@volentic.com to exercise them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page; we encourage you to review it periodically.
